Truck Wheels and Tires

Truck wheels and tires vary considerably from those made for regular cars, especially if your truck is a 4X4. The larger size of the vehicle, combined with the taller ride necessitates the need for a heavier tire and wheel combination. The type of driving that you do will also have an impact on the right combination for your vehicle.

Off-road truck wheels and tires are fairly specialized. The tires often incorporate a much deeper, more aggressive tread than typical street tires. This gives extra grip when driving on dirt surfaces, and also makes them harder to puncture.

Light truck wheels and tires are that different than car tires and wheels. The most significant difference is their size, often being larger in diameter and width than a typical car set-up. However, the tread design of the tires (street versions) is quite similar to those for cars.
