Muscle car aficionados are a unique breed. Because most true “muscle cars” were made prior to the 1980’s, many newer style wheels don’t seem to match the overall look of the cars themselves. For this reason, many owners tend to migrate towards the “classics”.
Classic muscle car wheels are much simpler in design than most new wheels. In most cases, their design does not include the “open” look of today’s wheels. They are made to look solid, with little open air between the spokes.
A great majority of muscle car wheels are finished in chrome. However, there are plenty of exceptions to this rule. Painted and powder coated finishes are also quite popular.
