of Discount Wheels.
Discount wheels allow you to purchase the wheels of your dreams for pennies on the dollar. While that sounds cliché, it is also true. You don’t have to break the bank for wheels, as long as you have a little patience and flexibility. Take for example the new LED wheels, these wheels currently market for over fourteen thousand dollars. They also rely on technology that is less than five years old. When the means of production becomes more common and fresh minds are exposed to the engineering concepts, the price will come down.
Competition will increase; further lowering cost, and in the end LED wheels will be a premium style of wheel, but not one that costs more than many cars. This is just an example of how a little patience will allow you to purchase the new wheels you want with less cost out of pocket.
But most wheels are already at a stage where they have dropped significantly due to competition and widely available means of production. So how do you save money on those wheels? You shop for sales on discount wheels, that is how! Flexibility is your best friend when trying to purchase wholesale wheels. If you absolutely have your heart set on a specific model of wheel, it becomes more difficult to find one on sale. If you instead say you want a wheel that looks like that wheel, you open up many other options to yourself.
Websites and magazines are two of the favorite places for manufacturers to advertise discount wheels. This is because a store requires an immense amount of floor space to actually display all the wheels that they could sell. So even if you go to an automotive store, you’ll more than likely be ordering your wheels out of a catalogue. Some stores will offer “buy three get one free” sales. A 25% savings on your wheels is nothing to scoff at, just make sure you’re shopping these places even when the wheels are not on sale, to ensure they aren’t jacking up the price on the three wheels you are buying to compensate. It is a disreputable marketing practice, but many companies engage in it.
A surprising source of discount wheels is your local scrap yard. Cars are often brought to the yard which are totaled by an insurance company, but still have perfectly good parts. One of the parts that often goes unnoticed on these cars are the wheels. The hardest part will be finding a car that hasn’t had some of the wheels scavenged off it already.
You can also go to auto auctions to look for discount wheels. These auctions are regularly held by banks and the government to sell cars that were repossessed or left at the impound lot. There are many great deals to be had at these auctions, as the banks are just looking to cover their losses, and the government doesn’t much care what the cars sell for as long as they are taken of its hands. If you’d prefer to shop from the comfort of your own home, online auctions are a great option for you. Just be sure that you’re purchasing the proper lug setup for your car before you go to an auction, they won’t refund your money just because you bought a four lug wheel when you needed a five.
